Trust you to think that I am nuts about going gagaing over my lecturer. But seriously, you cannot blame me for allowing something like this to happen, when you have a lecturer like him.
At the mention of the word 'lecturer', image of a 50 years old man with receeding hairline may start floating in your brain. *Poke*Poke* Bursting all the ugly images for you. This lecturer that we are talking about here is barely 30 years old.
A man who spent his childhood in a kampong somewhere in Yio Chu Kang, grew up to be a Master student majoring in Sociology and teaching Sociology of Children.
What is it about this man, that makes me wanna mention him in my blog? Well, close friends would probably had already heard about him from me numerous time. He is just like a big walking joke, that you will understand only when you see him.
This little boy in the skin of a big man is just one of the most interesting and shy lecturer that I have came across in my life so far. Everyone agrees to the fact that he is really cute and can be quite dump in class sometimes. Apart from that dummy impression that he never fail to give people, he is indeed a man of knowledge. Jen & I had labelled him as
The knowledgable kampong boy. It is only when attending his class, that you will question yourself 'how a person like him still exist in this world?'
Sad to say that this coming Saturday will be the last time I will ever get a chance to attend his class. Nevertheless, for sure, I will never fail to remember this lecturer and all his classic moments for life.
- On the very first lesson, he actually blush when he realised that I was starring at him when he was giving lecture. But come on, not about the fact that I am hum sup, but who do not look at the lecturer when he or she is talking?
- He actually wore his top inside out without realising it. He actually try to make a lame joke out of it when Ken finally expose his clumsiness to him. He was saying something like, "I thought I could make the headline for fashion today." And he actually blame Apple and me for laughing at him and not telling him about it.
- It was a hazy week and many people fell sick during that particular week due to the haze. He was late for class for the first time since the semester had started. He walked into the class and say, "I am sick, I cannot teach." It totally sounds like a little boy throwing tantrum.
- He was giving lecture during one of his last few lessons. In the beginning of the class he was telling us that he is not going to talk too loud because he have to save his voice for the afternoon class. However, as the lecture proceed his volume seems to grew as the time tick by. When he finally realise that he was talking too loudly, he actually talk to himself, "Ok cool down cool down."
- Getting him to reply your email during time of emergency, such as assignments due, is the most torturous thing one could experience. Living in the 21st century, he is a living evidence of human in Singapore who still uses a dial up at home. Not the fact that I am laughing at him but it is really unbelievable.
While going for class on a Saturday morning seems like a chore, it was with a lecturer like him that spikes up the morning and make you wants to go for his class.
