Shark Friendly...

I always had people coming to me asking, "Hey whats that on your back???" or "Why do you wanna put a shark on your back???"

Well, for me as an all time shark lover, I had always wanted to do my small part in in my own way to prevent Shark from being extinct.

My first attempt, took place almost 10 years back, when I stop consuming Shark Fins. As a traditional delicacy at all Chinese banquet dinner, just as everyone else I love this dish to the max!
However, on one very occasion, I chance upon a documentary talking about how people fish the shark, get the fins off them and throw them back into the sea. This cruel sight really leaves a deep impression and have great impact on me. Since that day on, I stop taking Shark Fins, no matter how much I used to love eating it...

My father always tell me, "You don't eat the shark fin, you are only wasting whatever that have been cook." To refute that, I always tell him, "By doing this, people will take note of my action, even if I am able to influence another person, I am happy that I did my part."

As such, this morning when I saw this very article about US is moving to being touch on Shark Fins, I was really happy about it.

Then, it leaves me wondering, when will Singapore do it's part in preserving this animal...

爱情如德士

Just last night I saw this interesting life analogy in Chinese from the TV...

爱情就像德士,有时候你等它, 有时候它等你。。。
只要你愿意等, 一定等的到。。。

Ending 2010 beautifully...

Been more than half a year, since I was here to drop that few words that I used to do.

During this period of time, quite a series of things been happening in life, so that was why I kind of like went MIA.

Tracking back to Aug, I was flew Down Under to Perth and Tasmania, where I finally get to meet up with my bestie. My girlfriend, whom I only get to see her like once or twice a year, and with her new relocation to Perth, it just make the meet up more difficult.

After which, was further down to Tasmania, for my sister's convocation. Tasmania was indeed different from the rest of Aust, in terms of development as well as the people. Together with my family, we drove up to Cradle Mountain, arriving the place where everywhere is green is peaceful. It was amazing at how when I woke up the next morning, greeting me was the lovely snow. Despite the few hours trap that the snow had caused us, it was nevertheless, a wonderful experience once again after my Canada trip.

Upon returning from my long holiday, I decided to plunge in into making a life turning decision. Getting myself off the comfort zone, taking up a new job which is kind of closer to what I had always been wanted to do. However, it all comes with a price to pay for, pay cut, benefits cut as well as less time for myself. Nonetheless, I truly hope and wish that, all these little scarifies will be worth it in the long run.

Now, it has been more than 2 months since I got into the job, and the probation period will be over in about 2 weeks time. Hopefully I am able to make it through and continue to be with this current company. Despite being here for slightly more than 2 months, but the amount of things that I have learnt so far is really so much, and I was loaded with responsibilities that I do not get to experience in my previous job, which from time to time can be kind of challenging. I definitely look forward to learning and experiencing more of these.

With 2011 just a few steps away from us, once again, I wish for a better year next year with everything falling into place.

Merry X'mas & Happy 2011~!!!!!
